This Lady Ghostbuster Cosplayer Ain’t Afraid of No Ghosts

Maybe its just me but it feels like with every day that goes by, I lose a little more hope of seeing another Ghostbusters movie get made.  I know it has been in the works for a while but with Bill Murray not being interested in being in it and the death of Harold Ramis a couple of months ago, I am losing hope.  However, even if we don’t see another movie, there are always the old movies and cartoons to watch as well as video games to play.  Not only that, but here is some great female Ghostbuster cosplay to enjoy!

Cosplayer Maeghan Eyre teamed up with Ghostbusters News to do a little cosplay photoshoot in a library with photographer Jason Fitzsimmons.  Both the cosplay and the photography turned out great!

Not only is the costume good, but the proton pack and other equipment looks great!  I’m also kind of curious to know who she got to sign the proton pack.  To see more pictures, hit up the source link below.

Awesome Steampunk Tinkerbell Cosplay

Ever since I was a kid, I have had a big love for Peter Pan and that fantasy universe.  I remember watching the Disney cartoon over and over again as a kid and these days I will watch the classic Hook movie with Robin Williams whenever I see it on TV.  It seems like love for Neverland has fallen off in recent years because I remember seeing lots of Peter Pan and Hook costumes when I was a kid (I remember even having one of the hook hand toys when I was a kid) and you never see them these days.

Well, it looks like there is at least one other fan still out there judging by this awesome steampunk Tinkerbell cosplay.

Sadly, I don’t know who this awesome Tinkerbell cosplayer is, who took this picture or what con this was at but I think this cosplay is great!  If you know who this girl is or who took the picture, please let us know in the comments below so we can give them the credit they deserve!

I hope Hook is still on Netflix because now I am in the mood to watch it for the millionth time.

Iron Man 3 Deluxe Hero Tony Stark Light-Up LED Shirt Is Really Cool!

I can’t say I have ever been one for wearing shirts that are battery operated operated just because they really don’t sound like they would be very comfortable and I would be worried about the wash machine taking a real toll on them and breaking them not long after I buy them but as far as battery operated shirts goes, this Iron Man 3 shirt is probably the coolest I have ever seen!

The awesome folks over at ThinkGeek are selling this officially licensed Iron Man 3 delux hero Tony Stark light-up LED shirt for just $34.99!  To power up the cool looking Arc Reactor, you will need 3 AAA batteries (not included) but that seems like a small price to pay to look this cool.

I should note there are special washing instructions that you need to pay attention to.  The product description tells what you need to do to remove the electronic components before you can throw it into a machine to wash and if you want to make sure the light keeps working, I would probably listen to it.

Awesome Underworld Selene Cosplay

The Underworld movies are among my all time favorite movies and I will watch them every chance I get.  Even the newest one, while it wasn’t as good as the others, I still like it because it is the best looking 3D movie I have seen so far and makes me glad I spent a little bit extra just to have a 3D tv even though I never use the 3D otherwise.  Well, speaking of the amazing Underworld movies, I came across some pretty good Selene cosplay I thought you guys would enjoy.

This awesome Underworld inspired Selene cosplay was done by cosplayer Callie and the equally impressive photography was done by David Thorpe Photography.

I wish there was more people doing Underworld cosplay.  I think the characters could make for some excellent cosplay and those blue eyes on Selene drive me crazy!  I would love if a blue contact fashion trend caught on because they are really hot!

Anyway, enough about what color eyes I like and on to the amazing pictures of the Underworld cosplay!  Enjoy your holiday everybody!

TMNT Shell Print Baseball Cap

Anybody who knows me at least in meatspace knows that I am a big fan of wearing baseball caps.  I will never leave the house without one so there are a lot of people who have never seen me without my trademark hat.  The bad thing is that because of the job I have, then tend to get rather dirty and nasty rather quickly so I tend to go through 2-3 hats a year.  Well, my current Go of War cap is nearing the end of its life so I was looking around this morning for my next hat when I stumbled across this awesome TMNT baseball cap that I thought you guys would love as much as I do!

The nerdy folks over at SuperHeroStuff are selling this awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shell print snapback cap for only $19.99!  If you were a big TMNT fan as a kid like I was, you are going to love this cap!

I really like the fact that this hat is adjustable with a snapping back because my last couple of hats have been kind of a one size fits all style that just has an elastic band to keep it tight around your head but that tends to wear out rather quickly so even the smallest breeze can send it flying.  It will be nice to have something that will stay on my head for a change!

This Bill Murray Ghostbusters Tattoo Is Cool!

It wasn’t until a couple of years ago that I finally saw the Ghostbusters movies but I was always a huge fan of the cartoon, toys and video games as a kid (the one for the Sega Genesis was my favorite).  As much as I have loved the franchise all of my life, I’m not sure I have the dedication to do what this guy did and get Bill Murray tattooed on my chest.

While I don’t know who inked this beautifully colored Ghostbusters Peter Venkman tattoo, the guy sporting it is twitter user @Sopaguada.

Normally, I would say anybody that sports a Ghostbusters tattoo on their chest qualifies as really cool in my book, but in this case, because of the iPad selfie, I can only go so far as to say this guy is slightly cool.  I’m all for taking selfies but anybody who uses an iPad to do it loses some serious cool points.

Indiana Jones and Super Mario Bros Mash-up T-Shirt $11 Today!

Maybe its just me, but it seems like crazy movie / Super Mario mash-up t-shirt day.  Over on my other blog, Global Geek News, today I featured a Super Mario and Godfather mash-up t-shirt that is $11 today and now I stumbled across another awesome Mario movie mash-up shirt that I thought you guys would love.

Some of my all time favorite movies are the Indiana Jones movies (not including the crystal skull one) and I have been a Super Mario Bros fan since I was two and still play the NES classic almost daily so when I saw this shirt come up for sale, you might say I got a little excited.  This is definitely one of those must buy shirts for me!

Speaking of buying this shirt, the super geeky folks over at TeeFury are selling this ‘Itsamea Jones’ Super Mario and Indiana Jones mash-up t-shirt for just $11 today only!  The very clever design was created by tomkurzanski and I’d say he did a fantastic job with it!

I know I will be buying one of these shirts today, what about you?  Let me know in the comments how much you love this shirt and if you plan on buying one for yourself or another Mario and Indiana Jones fan you know!

Iron Man Cast Turns a Broken Wrist Into a Good Thing

I consider myself lucky to have gone the first 26 years of my life without breaking any bones.  Especially as a kid, it seemed like all of my friends broke something at one point or another whether it was an arm, leg or something as small as a finger.  I guess that was kind of the downside of the full contact basketball we used to play which pretty much had all the violence of hockey.

Well, speaking of broken bones, Reddit user Brettman3 got bored of the plain old white cast he was sporting after breaking his wrist so he decided to color it to make it look like Iron Man’s suit.

I think it turned out pretty cool and this is definitely what I would consider taking lemons and turning them into lemonade.  However, if he really wanted to make this super cool, I think a cluster of LEDs in his palm would make this the coolest cast ever!

Have you ever broken a bone and done something cool with the cast like this?  If so, I want to hear your tale in the comments below and feel free to share pictures if you have them!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Stormtrooper Cosplay [pic]

It is always kind of weird to see people do mash-up cosplay.  I can’t think of a case where I haven’t enjoyed it but it just kind of odd to see people combine completely unrelated things and then turn it into an amazing costume.  I really admire people with the creativity required to do something like that and the ability to execute the idea and turn it into something that looks really cool.

Speaking of cool mash-up cosplay, this Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Stormtrooper cosplay was spotted at the 2013 Ottawa Comic Con.  I’m not sure who this cosplayer is to give them credit of the unique idea so if anybody knows who this is, please let me know in the comments below so we can give them credit!  Speaking of giving credit, this great picture was taken by cmbdphotography.

Have you ever created any cool mash-up cosplay?  Tell us about it in the comments below!
