Archives For Batman

While the internet seems to be obsessed with Poison Ivy cosplay lately (such as the steampunk Poison Ivy cosplay I posted last week), I thought it would be fun to post some super sexy Batgirl cosplay instead!  And of course there is no sexier way to do Batgirl cosplay than with body paint!

Model / cosplayer Amber Deville is the sexy woman sporting this fantastic Batgirl cosplay.  From the looks of it, other than the boots, cape, mask, ect., I am pretty sure the rest of the “costume” is body paint which looks pretty darn good!

The pictures were taken by photographer Ben Britt who I would say did a pretty good job even though the backgrounds are pretty obviously photoshopped in.

Is there some new obsession with Poison Ivy that nobody has told me about?  Over the past month or so, I have been seeing all kinds of great Poison Ivy cosplay.  However, this is the first steampunk Poison Ivy that I think I have come across and it is pretty cool!  I love the combination of steampunk and anything else so its safe to say this gets two thumbs up from me!

This awesome steampunk Poison Ivy cosplay is being sported by Rikkux12.  The sexy yet tasteful pictures were taken by Robbins Studios.  Between the cosplay and the photography, this is full of awesomeness.  The world needs more Batman universe inspired steampunk cosplay!

I don’t know if it is the quality of the tattoo artists where I live or the poor ability of people to pick/design a decent tattoo (maybe both), but the tattoos that I see people sporting around where I live really suck.  Well, most aren’t terrible but in comparison to tattoos like this Batman inspired tattoo below, they make you wonder why they even bothered to get one in the first place.

This amazing tattoo of Batman punching Joker was inked by Josh at City of Ink in Christchurch, New Zealand. The detail on this Batman tattoo is very impressive!  I would say Josh hit a home run when he inked this tattoo!  The guy who also had it inked on his side is clearly a pretty cool dude too!

However, I am curious if the tattoo is black and white or just the photo?

Although I occasionally come across some body paint that is very well done, I am generally not a huge fan of it compared to actual clothes.  I suppose some guys like it because you are basically looking at a naked lady but with the paint covering everything up, it just doesn’t do it for me.  However, this is one of those times when the body paint is beyond amazing!

This spectacular Harley Quinn body paint is being sported by Abby Tymchakers for Joey D‘s (the photographer) upcoming 2013 body paint calender.  I’ve never considered buying a body paint calender before but this Harley Quinn body paint (done by Allyson Averell) is so good that I might just buy one!

When I hear that the calender has gone on sale, I will update this post for anybody interested in buying one.

Perhaps one of the best things about all of the Batman movies, tv shows and video games over the years is that they seem to inspire some pretty spectacular cosplay.  In the not so distant past, I posted some pretty great Catwoman cosplay from Batman: Arkham City and while I still think it was great, I think this Catwoman cosplay inspired by the Batman Returns Catwoman blows it out of the water.

Reddit user MonocleComplex made this stunning Catwoman cosplay for wearing at her sister’s Halloween party and I’d say she did a fantastic job with it!  She didn’t mention just how long this took to make, but I’d say it was time well spent!  Comparing this to a picture of the costume from Batman Returns, I would say this Catwoman cosplay is purrrfect!

It doesn’t happen often, but there are times when I come across some cosplay that makes me ask myself “what the frak?!”  This just so happens to be one of those rare times.

I don’t know who this rather hairy gentleman is (if you know, let us know in the comments below), but apparently he was seen walking around the New York Comic Con dressed as Batgirl.  While I applaud this guy for having the balls to walk around NYCC dressed as Batgirl (and I have to admit the costume looks well done, especially the utility belt), the only thing that comes to mind when I see this picture is eww!

I am honestly at a loss for words after seeing this.  This is just wrong on so many levels that I don’t even know where to start.

When it comes to Batgirl cosplay, I have seen some pretty impressive pictures, but none quite as impressive as this spectacular Batgirl cosplay!  Seriously, she looks like she just walked off of a movie set!

Cosplayer Alexia Jean Grey is the redhead sporting this incredible Batgirl cosplay for Adam Jay from Superhero Photography.  I definitely wouldn’t mess with this Batgirl, it looks like she could seriously kick my butt!

While I may be more of a fan of the Batgirl from the 60s Batman TV show, there is no way I can deny that this looks better than the 60s Batgirl ever did.  Great job to both Alexia and Adam on the costume and these pictures!

Fashion isn’t just about clothes and cosplay, but it can also be about fingernail art too!  In this particular car, one Batman fan decided to sport some fantastic Harley Quinn fingernail art!

The Nailasaurus created this awesome Harley Quinn fingernail art and it looks awesome!  One fingernail is the image of the cartoon version of Harley Quinn from the animated series while the others are Harley’s trademark black and red patterns.  I’ve seen some great fingernail art in the past, but I think this is one of my favorites.  I bet it took a super steady hand to make this look this good.  I am impressed!

I’m not really sure I can put my finger on why, but Harley Quinn has always been my favorite character from the Batman universe.  Perhaps, it is because she inspires some awesome cosplay like the one in the picture below!

DeviantART user Lie-chee is the person sporting the awesome Harley Quinn cosplay in this picture which was photographed by fellow DeviantART user cannedcolors.  I would say this Harley Quinn cosplay turned out pretty good!  I think even Batman would be impressed!
