Archives For cap

Depending on how long you have been a reader here at Fanboy Fashion or my other site, Global Geek News, you may or may not know that I never leave the house without a hat and I grew up playing the Nintendo Entertainment System.  Well, somebody has finally combined those two things and created a baseball cap style hat with an NES controller embroidered on it!  I might not need a new hat since I just got a new God of War hat that I just started wearing but I think my next has is likely to be this cool NES Controller hat, something I would recommend for anybody else out there that also spent much of their lives with the NES!

The incredibly nerdy people over at SuperHeroStuff are selling this sweet grey Nintendo Entertainment System controller hat for just $21.99!  The hat is a snapback hat so you can adjust it to fit your head which in my experience is a lot better than those hats with elastic (like my God of War cap of which I am on my third one because I love the design so much), which take no time to wear out and suddenly even the lightest gust of wind can steal the cap from your head like the playground bully you hated in school.

If you ever see me in person, chances are you will never see me without a hat on.  Largely due to my very light sensitive eyes, I never leave the house without a hat and sunglasses on.  As a result, people tend to see me as someone who never takes their hat off.  Being a hat guy, I usually go through about 2-3 hats a year because they get dirty, sweat stained and rather disgusting after about 6 months or so.  While I still have several months of use left on the God of War hat I have been sporting, I’ve been on the hunt for its replacement and that is when I came across these cool Star Trek athletic hats.

The incredible folks over at ThinkGeek are selling these awesome Star Trek athletic hats for $24.99!  You have the choice of red, blue or gold and they are adjustable with a clip and pull tab in the back.

One of these hats is definitely going to be my next hat, I just can’t decide which one I want!  I’m debating between either red or blue.  If you get one of these hats, let me know in the comments below which color you go with!

Anybody who knows me at least in meatspace knows that I am a big fan of wearing baseball caps.  I will never leave the house without one so there are a lot of people who have never seen me without my trademark hat.  The bad thing is that because of the job I have, then tend to get rather dirty and nasty rather quickly so I tend to go through 2-3 hats a year.  Well, my current Go of War cap is nearing the end of its life so I was looking around this morning for my next hat when I stumbled across this awesome TMNT baseball cap that I thought you guys would love as much as I do!

The nerdy folks over at SuperHeroStuff are selling this awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shell print snapback cap for only $19.99!  If you were a big TMNT fan as a kid like I was, you are going to love this cap!

I really like the fact that this hat is adjustable with a snapping back because my last couple of hats have been kind of a one size fits all style that just has an elastic band to keep it tight around your head but that tends to wear out rather quickly so even the smallest breeze can send it flying.  It will be nice to have something that will stay on my head for a change!

Cool Star Trek Hats

August 12, 2013 — Leave a comment

For those that know me, they know that I never leave home without a hat on.  It is almost always some sort of geeky baseball cap like the God of War hat I am currently wearing.  However, I’ve been wearing this hat most of the year and it is getting rather faded and nasty looking so I am in the market for a new hat and I stumbled across these awesome Star Trek hats that I figured I would share with you guys.

The incredible folks over at ThinkGeek are selling these awesome Star Trek hats for just $24.99 each.  You can choose between command, science and engineering, so whichever you love most is what you should get!  Also, for those seeing this today (August 12, 2013), you can save 14% on your order of $19.99 or more with the coupon code ‘EDGEPEEL’.  That coupon is only valid today since today is ThinkGeek’s 14th birthday so if you don’t use it today, you are out of luck.

Personally, I think I am going to go with the science cap since I am a huge science geek.  Let me know which one you are getting in the comments below!

It is no secret that I am not a huge fan of our educational system and would like to see it go away and replaced with something that makes more sense in the 21st century but I applaud people who can put up with all of the bs and come out with a piece of paper letting the world know you are educated.  That is not something I have been able to do because while I love learning about anything and everything, I tend to get tired of the bs and constantly getting screwed.  Anyway…

Since it is graduation season, I thought it was fitting to post this awesome TARDIS graduation cap I saw on Facebook yesterday.  I’m not sure who Whovian is that decided to turn her graduation cap into the TARDIS but I think it looks great!  If anybody knows who she is, please let us know in the comments so we can give her credit and congratulate her on her accomplishment!

If I ever do the graduation thing again, I might have to do this with my graduation cap just so everybody knows how much I love Doctor Who because while that is normally obvious with all of the shirts I wear, my shirt would be covered up by the gown.

If I wasn’t sporting my new Legend of Zelda Hylian Crest hat, I’d probably consider getting this awesome Super Mario Bros question block hat.  This amazing crocheted hat that I would say is a must for any Super Mario Bros fan, is being sold by Etsy seller billionsandbillions.  If you have a love for Mario and have $34 plus shipping that is burning a whole in your pocket, then you should definitely order this amazing Super Mario Bros question block hat!  And remember, if you do order it, I want to see pictures of you wearing it!

Its winter around here and there is nothing better to wear in winter than one of those hood type things that cover most of your head, especially when it is really cold out.  Well, that is what this is or at least it is for the Star Wars fans out there.  This Star Wars Ewok knit hat / hood should do a pretty good job at keeping you warm while making you the center of attention when you venture outside.  You can get this awesome Ewok hood / hat from Hot Topic for $11.25 (that is 50% off) while supplies last so act fast!

If you are looking to sport some great Legend of Zelda Link cosplay, you should consider using this awesome Kokiri style hat!  Even if you aren’t planning on looking like Link, I still think the hat would be awesome to wear around town.  Sadly, the ears aren’t part of the hat so if you want to look even cooler, you are going to have to provide your own pointy ears.  If you want this awesome hat, you can get it from Etsy seller orgXIIIorg for just $25!  Seems like a pretty good deal to me considering that is what I usually pay for my baseball caps.

Pikachu Hat [pic]

December 21, 2011 — Leave a comment

I choose you Pikachu… to be my hat!  I generally avoid wearing anything on my head except baseball caps because hats like this Pikachu hat just look silly on me.  This Pikachu hat is definitely awesome but I can’t even begin to imagine how many people would laugh at me if I wore this out in public.  However, I am sure there is somebody out there that can pull off this Pokemon hat better than me.  Sadly, you can’t buy this awesome hat anywhere as it was made by DeviantART user Clearkid for a friend but I’m sure if you have some arts and craft skills, you can come up with your own.
