Despite being a life long fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I have absolutely no desire to see Michael Bay’s hideous incarnation of them and passed up the opportunity to see the new movie this weekend in favor of Guardians of the Galaxy (which was a pretty good movie and worth seeing in 3D). While the new movie doesn’t appeal to me, I will always love the old school TMNT I grew up with!
I can’t say I ever read the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic books, but I loved the cartoons and played the crap out of the NES TMNT games. Speaking of those old turtles, if you loved them, I found the perfect shirt for you!
The old school Turtles lovers over at 80sTees.com are selling this awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book t-shirt for as low as $10! The shirt is $10 for sizes of XL and smaller and then the price goes up to $14 or $16 for sizes larger than that. To make the shirt look like one of the old comics, it even features a price and volume number.

Although I enjoyed the Spider-Man cartoons and video games as a kid, Spider-Man has never really been my thing. Its not that I dislike Spider-Man (I hate the Spider-Man movies though), its just that he isn’t really my cup of tea. When it comes to superheros, I am more of a Batman or Superman person. Anyway, for the Spider-Man loving women out there, Etsy seller coyotepeyote is selling this sexy, skin-tight Spider-Man dress for $80. This is probably the perfect dress for Spider-Man loving women to wear at places like Comic Con!

Although I have never been to one, apparently even superheros like to spend some time at Renaissance fairs in their off time from fighting evil. These awesome cosplayers decided to take their cosplay to the next level and come up with some Renaissance Justice League cosplay. Some of the costumes seem a tad simple, but I really like Batman’s mask. If the day ever comes that I get to go to a Renaissance fair, I really hope I see these guys there although I might prefer to see Sheldon Cooper there dressed as Spock.

Its not very often that I see any Supergirl cosplay so when I saw this I figured I should post it. Unfortunately you can only see the costume from the waist up but with amazing blue eyes like those, I really don’t care about what is below the picture. I’ve never paid attention to whether a person’s eyes match their cosplay before but this girl’s eyes do and it makes a great effect! She can come to my rescue anytime! Unfortunately I don’t know who this beauty is, but the picture was taken by LJinto.

It is almost comical how guys will stumble all over themselves when they see a girl walk by in a little black dress. Since I don’t venture out much (mainly because there is nothing to do in this town), I don’t have to worry about that very often, but if I saw a girl walk buy in a little black Batgirl dress, you can be sure I will probably be tripping over all kinds of stuff because of the distraction. This is really hot in the geekiest possible way. I’ve never been as big of a Batgirl fan as I am at this moment.

I’ve bought multiple Snuggies or blankets with sleeves or whatever you want to call them for dirt cheap off of Woot and I think they are easily the best purchases I have ever made. Well, if the plain colored blanket with sleeves aren’t your thing, now there is a Superman blanket with sleeves available! This may not be an official Snuggie, but I don’t think there is much of a difference and to look like Superman while I am sitting in my desk chair playing video games, I don’t think I really care. For those interested, you can pick up this awesome Superman blanked with sleeves from Amazon for $24.99 from Amazon.

I saw the Hellboy movie a couple of years ago and enjoyed it but I can’t say I would call myself a fan of the character. However, I am a huge fan of awesome cosplay, even if it is of characters I’m not necessarily huge fans of. A Hellboy fan by the name of Jason Welborn decided to do cosplay a little differently and make his costume out of cardboard. For something as different as cardboard, I’d say it turned out pretty great! If you have any awesome cosplay photos you would like to see me post, email me at pcnerd37 [at] globalgeeknews.com
