Crocheted Bane Mask

It wasn’t until a few weeks ago that I finally got a chance to watch the latest Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises (despite going to see it on opening night which is a long story) but I thought it was pretty good.  I found the Bane character to be quite interesting although I really didn’t think the voice matched the look of the character.  Then again I’m not a fan of the Batman voice either so what do I know?

Anyway, I stumbled upon this really cool mask that I am sure the Bane fans are going to love.

Etsy seller StitchFinderGeneral is selling this awesome crocheted Bane mask for $91.95.  Because it is so awesome, it is apparently selling so well that there is now a 4 month long waiting list just to get one.  If you decide to get one, the seller says to contact them first so keep that in mind if you decide to get one of these crocheted Bane masks.

This would make for a great mask Halloween so that is something to think about if you are interested in being Bane this year.

DIY Mario Kart Blue Shell Hat [pic]

I am one of those guys who never leaves the house without a baseball cap on.  For some reason, I just feel naked if I leave the house without a hat on although I suppose the real purpose is to help keep the sun out of my rather light sensitive eyes.

While I am all for wearing video game related hats (I am wearing a Legend of Zelda hat with a ton of Hylian Crest symbols all over it as I type this), I think I might feel a tad silly wearing this Mario Kart blue shell hat.  It may be cool but the last thing I need is to give my co-workers another reason to give me more crap.

However, if you think you would look awesome in a Mario Kart inspired Blue Shell hat like this (and work somewhere that you won’t get teased for it), you can make your own!

Instructables user Sam DeRose has created a guide on how to create your own Mario Kart Blue Shell hat.  While I don’t posses the crafting skills to make something like this myself, hopefully some of you do and decide to make one.  If you do, I want to see pictures!

Super Mario Chain Chomp Earrings [pic]

Do you like to play Super Mario Bros and wear earrings?  Then I have found some Chain Chomp earrings that you will love!

Etsy seller RainbowDarkness is selling this awesome pair of Super Mario Chain Chomp earring cuffs for just $25.

These Chain Chomp earrings are a great way to show off your love for Super Mario Bros but beware of having it bite your ear!  If there is one thing I have learned from all of my years playing Super Mario Bros, when a Chain Chomp bites you, it hurts!

Doctor Who Knitted Ood Hat [pic]

I’m not one for wearing anything knitted, but if it ever got cold enough to change my mind, I would definitely want to be wearing this awesome Doctor Who inspired Ood knitted hat!

While I don’t know who made this awesome Ood had, I have to admit that it is pretty awesome!  The inclusion of the communication orb device is a nice touch as well!

Unfortunately, I don’t think that wearing this awesome Ood hat will make you telepathic like the Ood.  It might get you a date with a Whovian though so at least that is better than nothing!

Super Mario Bros Question Block Hat [pic]

If I wasn’t sporting my new Legend of Zelda Hylian Crest hat, I’d probably consider getting this awesome Super Mario Bros question block hat.  This amazing crocheted hat that I would say is a must for any Super Mario Bros fan, is being sold by Etsy seller billionsandbillions.  If you have a love for Mario and have $34 plus shipping that is burning a whole in your pocket, then you should definitely order this amazing Super Mario Bros question block hat!  And remember, if you do order it, I want to see pictures of you wearing it!

Rebel Alliance Glitter Shoes [pic]

Generally speaking, I avoid glitter like the plague.  It might have some cool applications, but it is far more of a mess than I care to deal with.  I prefer to leave glitter back in my childhood where it belongs.  However, if you are a glitter loving, shoe wearing, Star Wars fanatic, than these Rebel Alliance glitter women’s shoes might just be for you!  Etsy seller aishavoya is selling these glittery Star Wars shoes in a variety of sizes for just $55 + $10 in shipping.  Now you can look geeky and turn your carpets into a glittery mess at the same time!

Crochet Fingerless Game Boy Gloves [pic]

I’ve never been much of a glove person myself outside of when I scrape the frost off of my car in the mornings but I might be more willing to wear some on occasion if somebody sold some geeky gloves like these.  MaDonna Flowers used her crochet skills to make this awesome pair of fingerless Game Boy gloves and I definitely want a pair!  Unfortunately, I’m not sure how much good they would do me because although my fingers get cold easily, my hands never do so to have fingerless gloves would almost be pointless for me.
