Stunning Legend of Zelda Cosplay Dress

There are times I get a bit jealous of all of the awesome geeky clothes that are made for women and this would definitely be one of them.  I have some pretty cool Legend of Zelda t-shirts but they can’t compare to this amazing Legend of Zelda cosplay dress!

Etsy seller Frockasaurus is selling this incredible custom hand-made Legend of Zelda cosplay dress for $513.35.  These dresses are made to order so you can request whatever size you need.  As for details about the dress, here is what they said:

This particular costume is made from 100% cotton, trimmed with crushed gold lamé and gold leatherette. Fully lined in polyester cotton, with 3 layers of net underskirting. Boned bodice, back zip fastening with corset effect lacing over the top. Top stitched in gold thread.

If you are a Legend of Zelda fan who happens to be looking for something to where to a con or even perhaps a renaissance fair but don’t want to deal with the hassle of making your own outfit, this might be just what you have been looking for!  Heck, this would even make for a nice non-traditional wedding dress for a really big Zelda fan.

If you happen to order one of these dresses, send us pictures of you wearing it!  I love to see my readers enjoying the things I post about!

Fantastic Doctor Who TARDIS Cosplay

It has been way too long since I have posted something here on Fanboy Fashion!  Hopefully now that the holidays are over and things are calming down a bit, I can start posting regularly again.  With a little luck, this amazing TARDIS cosplay will be the the beginning of things getting back to normal.

In the past, I have shared some rather unique TARDIS cosplay and I would probably put the incredible TARDIS cosplay below in that same category.

Quinn of Hearts is the talented cosplayer behind this amazing TARDIS cosplay that has a Victorian flare and provides a great view of the inside of the TARDIS!  The also great photography was taken by Claire Sheldon Photography.

Cute TARDIS A-Line Dress

Have you ever wanted to go out on the town looking like the TARDIS?  Well, if you are a woman or at least a cross dressing dude, now you can!  Who says the only time you can wear something like this is at a convention?!  This TARDIS dress is perfect for wearing to almost anything from a date to a wedding.  Well, perhaps I wouldn’t advise wearing it to a wedding because unless you are the bride, you will probably attract more attention than the bride with a dress like this and taking the spotlight away from the bride on her wedding day is not the smartest idea.  However, if you are going to a Doctor Who themed wedding, I’d still say go for it!  Actually, the thought of all of the brides maids wearing TARDIS dresses sounds like a pretty cool idea!  Anyway…

The cool geeks over at ThinkGeek are selling this cute TARDIS A-line dress for just $39.99.  Also, if you can find a little something else there to buy, you can get 10% off your order of $40 or more this weekend with the coupon code ‘CLIPPY’ (Good thru 4/6/14).  This dress is 100% cotton, machine washable and made in the good ol’ USA instead of by kids in China.  Don’t forget to check the size chart too if you want to make sure you get the size of dress that best fits you.

I think if you really want to complete the outfit, the best way you can do that with some exploding TARDIS heels.  However, I should note that my sense of fashion sucks so perhaps I’m not the person you should be looking to when it comes to what shoes match this dress.  Still, I like the idea.

This Hybrid Dalek/TARDIS Dress is Fantastic!

If you ever looked at galleries of pictures taken from events like Comic Con or pretty much any nerdy conventions these days, you are bound to see some girls dressed up as either a TARDIS or Dalek.  The last sci-fi convention I went to I can distinctly remember seeing at least two little girls dressed as a TARDIS.  Well, while it is pretty common these days to see girls sporting some cool TARDIS or Dalek dresses, this is the first time I have ever seen both combined into one fantastic dress!

Cosplayer BewitchedRaven from Atlanta Georgia is the girl sporting this awesome TARDIS/Dalek hybrid dress.  I’d say she did an excellent job in creating it because it looks great!  At first, I thought the idea of a hybrid dress like that might look a little strange but with the colors and patterns she chose, I think it looks really good!  It almost has a bit of a Victorian/steampunk feel to it.  Speaking of good things, the great photography was taken by CONography.

The Most Unique TARDIS Cosplay Ever [pic]

In the past, I have posted a number of fantastic TARDIS clothing items but nothing like this.  A while back I posted a TARDIS dress that opened up to show you the inside of the TARDIS.  Well, if you take that idea to the next step, you get this spectacular TARDIS cosplay below!

Sadly, I’m not sure who this girl is that is sporting this very unique TARDIS cosplay which features the TARDIS control panel, a bunch of lights and a jacket that looks like the outside of the TARDIS so if you know who she is, please let us know in the comments below so we can give her credit for this awesome costume!

I’d like to travel to the center of her TARDIS!

Ok, that probably wasn’t appropriate but given this past weekend’s episode of Doctor Who, it was the most fitting joke I could come up with.

The Beautiful TARDIS Ballgown is Finished [pics]

Back in February I posted a great looking TARDIS ballgown that Crystal Maxwell was in the process of creating based on a design created by Anne Luise Richards.  While I thought it was great looking even as a work in progress, it is now finished and it is fantastic!

Last week, Crystal contacted me on the Fanboy Fashion Facebook page to let me know that the dress is now finished and that she had uploaded a bunch of pictures of the finished project.

Below are a few pictures of the finished TARDIS ballgown (which is beautiful) and if you would like to see more, I recommend checking out the entire gallery that she uploaded which has 25 pictures.

If she ever needs a date for the ball, I would definitely volunteer!

A Fantastic TARDIS Ballgown [pic]

Where I live, we don’t have balls (the party kind) which I suspect is probably a consequence of living in a town of rather poor/cheap people.  Not that I would go to one anyway as its really not my thing and there is little I hate more than dressing up no matter how good I look when I do.  However, I could be persuaded to go to one if I had a date that was wearing a TARDIS ballgown like the one below!

Etsy seller loriann37 is selling this fantastic hooded TARDIS ballgown for $474.99.  This ballgown will be made to whatever measurements you happen to be and is made up of six pieces (front and back tie over-bust corset, aong a-line skirt w/trim, full circle mini skirt with trim, mid length add-a-bustle with trim – drawstring waist, hoodie bolero shrug, sleeveless black top w/lace).

If you are a lady that loves Doctor Who and has a ball to attend but nothing to wear, I’d say this TARDIS ballgown is for you!  If you do go to a ball in a TARDIS gown, I want to see pictures so hit me up via the contact page linked at the top.

Cute Doctor Who Skirt [pic]

With the return of Doctor Who later this week, I figured it now would be a great time to post some cool Doctor Who clothing.  For the TARDIS loving ladies out there interested in celebrating the return of new Doctor Who episodes, I have found a skirt that I think you are going to love!  In the past I posted a skirt that was a giant TARDIS but unlike that one, this one has a bunch of TARDIS’ and Timelord writing!

Etsy seller NerdAlertCreations is selling this awesome Doctor Who skirt with a bunch of TARDIS’ on it for just $45.  The skirt measures 18″ in length (21″ possible) and fits from small to extra-large.  If you are looking to catch the eye of that special Whovian in your life, wearing this is sure to do that!

If you do get this skirt, be sure to send us pictures of you wearing it!  We would love to see!

NES Fans Will Love This Duck Hunt Skirt!

It has been a long time since I have played Duck Hunt but I spent a quite a few hours during my childhood trying to shoot the dog as he mocked me for not hitting one of the ducks.  As annoying as that dog was, I don’t think the game would have been quite as fun without him.  Perhaps that is why I love this skirt so much because it does feature the dog mocking you!

Etsy seller GoFollowRabbits is selling this awesome Duck Hunt skirt for just $45.99.  This skirt is 19″ long and is sure to look great on any NES loving girls.  Sorry guys, but you just don’t have the legs to pull this one off no matter how bad you want to so don’t even try.

If you do end up getting this skirt, I want to see pictures of you wearing it!

A Beautiful TARDIS Ballgown [pics]

Considering my aversion to dressing up, it is safe to say I have never been to an any sort of event where a ballgown would be worn.  Its not that I don’t look good dressed up (because I look damn good when I dress up), I just don’t like wearing anything where I can’t express my geeky side in a major way.  That and I hate anything with long sleeves.

Anyway, speaking of ballgowns, this beautiful TARDIS ballgown was originally designed by Anne Luise Richards.  Reddit user __queenofhearts decided to take this fantastic TARDIS dress design and try to create it for herself.  I’d say she did a pretty fantastic job and apparently its not even finished yet!

You can check out the big gallery of this TARDIS ballgowns construction which has a bunch of pictures to give you the idea of the work that went into it and some pretty good descriptions as well.  I’d say it was time well spent!

Apparently she plans to wear this at the FanExpo in Vancouver in April so if you want to see it in person, you are going to have to go to that con.
