Show Your 8-Bit Love With This NES Controller Ring

At this point, I think you are all pretty familiar with my dislike of wearing things like rings because I feel they get in the way and are too restrictive, not to mention my fear of never being able to get them off once I get them on.  However, I still enjoy looking at and posting about really cool rings that I happen to come across while I am browsing my favorite websites.  Speaking of cool rings, I think I have found one that any fan of the Nintendo NES console will love!  And yes, I know saying Nintendo NES is redundant but I feel like it is the style I want to write in for once so deal with it! 😛

Etsy seller mooredesign13 is selling these handmade NES controller rings for just $200!  The rings feature the NES controller on a brick pattern with rubies as the A and B buttons.  The ring itself is made of sterling silver.

If you decide to order one of these, be warned that the smallest they can make is a size 9 because otherwise the A and B buttons are too small to set the ruby stones in.

Rings like this make me really wish I liked wearing rings because I would love to wear an NES controller around my finger.

This Star Trek Ring Boldly Goes Where No Ring Has Gone Before

When I see rings like the one below, it really makes me wish that I could stand to wear rings.  Anybody who knows me knows that I don’t like to have anything on my fingers.  It doesn’t feel comfortable for me and it just seems like it is getting in the way.  However, the main reason why I don’t wear any kind of ring and never will is because I have a fear that once I put it on, I will never be able to get it off.  I guess I have just seen too many people with rings that have had their fingers fatten up to the point that they couldn’t take the ring off if they wanted to and I don’t want to be one of those people.  But, just because I will never wear a ring, doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate cool ones when I see them and this Star Trek engagement ring is definitely one of the coolest ones I have seen!

This stunning Star Trek inspired ring was made by the very talented jewelry designer Paul Michael of Paul Michael Designs.  And, if you happen to be looking for that perfect ring to propose to that special Star Trek fan in your life, you are in luck because this ring is available for sale!

You can get this awesome Star Trek engagement ring over on Etsy for as little as $595.  Of course, depending on your choice of metal used and whether you want a diamond or topaz stone, it can go as high as $3,890.

If you decide to boldly go and propose with this awesome ring, send some pictures to us because we would love to share your story!

This Geordi La Forge VISOR Ring Would Look Great On Your Finger

I don’t watch Star Trek: The Next Generation as often as I should as at most I will watch 2 or 3 episodes a week when it is on BBC America on Saturday afternoons, but I still love the show (DS9 is my favorite) and Geordi La Forge is definitely one of my favorite characters.  Knowing how popular he is and how iconic his VISOR has become, I had a feeling you guys would flip out over this awesome Geordi La Forge VISOR ring I stumbled across yesterday.

Etsy seller eyephoriadesign is selling this fantastic TNG inspired Geordi La Forge VISOR ring for just $69.99!  The ring is made of sterling silver with 24K gold plated accents and apparently it is made using some sort of 3D printing technology.

However, if dollars isn’t how you want to pay, the seller also accepts Bitcoin and offers a 5% discount when paying with it.  Normally I probably wouldn’t mention something like that but this is the first time I have ever seen an Etsy seller accept Bitcoin as payment.

If you are looking for a new ring and you happen to be a big Star Trek: TNG fan, then this is the ring you have been looking for!

Batman and Harley Quinn Themed Custom Engagement Ring

It never ceases to amaze me just how romantic some geeks can be and the lengths they will go to when they propose to that special someone in their life.  I’ve seen elaborate proposals and some pretty cool rings and this definitely qualifies as a pretty sweet engagement ring!  In the past, I have featured a cool Portal Companion Cube engagement ring and an absolutely stunning Legend of Zelda engagement ring but when it comes to simple, classy and elegant, this Batman and Harley Quinn ring is perhaps my favorite.

This awesome Batman and Harley Quinn ring was designed by Daniel Maffett for his fiancée and made by Tom Sayers of Sayers Jewelers.  The design is very well done in my opinion and I love the end result!

Here is what Daniel had to say about the ring and his proposal.

“My goal going into this design was to create a ring that was traditionally elegant and sleek but represented my fiancé and I. Comic books are a big part of us and her favorite is obviously Batman and her favorite character is Harley Quinn,” says Daniel. Delivering the ring was the couple’s dog who proudly carried it in a sack of coal to Daniel’s fiancé.

Congrats to Daniel and his bride to be!

Legend of Zelda Ocarina Song Necklace

If there is one rule that I live my life by, it is to wear things that show off the things I love.  Whether it is a Doctor Who t-shirt, my God of War hat or my Call of Duty dog tags, you will never see me not sporting something I am passionate about (unless you see me in the shower in which case we have other issues to discuss).  I also recommend everybody else live by this rule as much as possible.  Not only does it let people get an idea of who you really are, but it is a fantastic way to start up conversations with complete strangers about the whatever it is you love that you both have in common.

Well, speaking of wearing things you love, if you are a Legend of Zelda fan, I have found the perfect necklace for you!

Etsy seller lizglizz is selling these custom Legend of Zelda Ocarina song necklaces for just $26!  Which song is it that you get you ask?  Any one you want!  The one in the picture is the Song of Time but if there is another one you like better, you can go with it!

If you like wearing necklaces and have a love for the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, than I think this is a must have for you!

Every Whovian Should Wear This 18″ TARDIS Necklace

It has been a while since I have worn a necklace since my chains keep breaking and getting so short it is starting to get uncomfortable, but I am often known for wearing something around my neck.  I know it is rather unusual for a guy that isn’t a rapper or pimp to wear a necklace of some sort but I enjoy it as another way of expressing my geeky side.  Usually, I wear dog tags for Call of Duty or Gears of War but lately I have been wanting something a little different, even though I get tons of comments from fellow gamers on those.  I think I have finally found what I am looking for with this awesome TARDIS necklace!

The awesome Whovians over at ThinkGeek are selling this fantastic 18″ TARDIS necklace for just $14.99!  Also, if you order this by 11:59pm PT on 12/12/13, you can get free shipping (no minimum) in the continental US with the coupon code “FREEREINDEER”.  For those that live in Hawaii, Alaska or internationally, aren’t left out of this deal but you will need the coupon code “LONGFLIGHT”.

Whether you are a big Doctor Who fan interested in wearing a TARDIS around your neck or are looking for a cool Christmas gift for a Whovian in your life, this is what you have been looking for!

Doctor Who Weeping Angel Earrings Will Make People Stare At You

When I am looking to compliment a woman, my go to compliment is usually about whatever earrings they are wearing, especially if they are the dangling type that are really hard not to miss.  I’m not exactly sure why that is my go to thing to compliment other than I suspect it has something to do with my odd attraction to women with pointy ears (there is nothing hotter than elf ears, even if they are fake).  Well, I think it is safe to say that any woman with Weeping Angel earrings like this is definitely going to get my attention if not a marriage proposal as well!

The awesome folks over at ThinkGeek are selling these fantastic Doctor Who Weeping Angel earrings for just $14.99 (this is an affiliate link so I get credit if you buy them which helps me continue to keep Fanboy Fashion running)!  The Weeping Angels are around 3/4″ tall, and dangles around 1 1/2″.  If you are a Doctor Who fan, they are a must have!

Just a word of warning, these might cause some awkward conversations with fellow Whovians as they will be unlikely to blink once they see them.  But, as long as you don’t mind stared at, it shouldn’t be that big of deal.

Don’t forget, even if these aren’t quite your style, they would still make an excellent Christmas gift for any earrings wearing Whovians you know!

Incredible Legend of Zelda Engagement Rings and Wedding Bands

I was quite surprised at the huge response I got for how awesome the Star Wars ring tattoos were that I posted earlier this week so I figured I would follow up with some even more incredible Legend of Zelda engagement rings and wedding bands.  Actually, to be more accurate, these are just renderings so they haven’t actually been made yet but they are still some of if not the coolest ring designs I have ever seen.

Takayas Custom Jewelry are the designers of these incredible Legend of Zelda engagement rings and wedding bands.  All three designs are awesome, but I think my favorite is the wedding bands since it includes both the Hylian Crest and the Hylian Shield.  I’m not the kind of guy to wear a ring but if I was and decided to get married, this would definitely be the design I would want.  It would go great with my Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess wallet and Hylian Crest hats.

No idea how much these rings would cost but I’m guessing they wouldn’t be cheap but still worth every penny.

Legend of Zelda Triforce Bracelet [pic]

Ever since I quit wearing a watch, haven’t been one for wearing anything around my wrists.  While I don’t mind wearing something around my wrist, one of the many reasons I stopped wearing a watch was because I didn’t like it plucking at the hair on my arms (I wore it kind of high on my arm because I liked it tight so it wouldn’t flop around) which means the bracelet below would definitely not be for me since it looks like it would be worse than my watch in that respect.  However, as a big Zelda fan, I really love this bracelet!

Etsy seller ShinyThingsbyOrin is selling this Legend of Zelda inspired Pillars of the Triforce bracelet for just $40.  While it may not be right for me because of my arm hair pluckage issues, I think that one of you needs to be the proud owner of this awesome Triforce bracelet!

I know guys don’t normally wear stuff like this but I think even some Zelda loving guys could pull this off.
