Female Link Cosplay [pic]

February 2, 2012 — 1 Comment

I’ve seen a lot of women try their hand at Link cosplay, but I think this is one of the more better ones I have seen in terms of the most amount of effort put into the costume.  I don’t think I recall ever seeing this exact Link outfit (especially the shield) in any of the Legend of Zelda games that I have played, but it still looks pretty awesome.  However, I might just be kind of picky but I think the ears stick out too far from the head.  I may love girls wearing pointy ears but those are a bit too large for my taste.  The cosplayer here is DeviantART user nsomniacartist and the picture was taken by DROOphotographer.

If you are looking to sport some great Legend of Zelda Link cosplay, you should consider using this awesome Kokiri style hat!  Even if you aren’t planning on looking like Link, I still think the hat would be awesome to wear around town.  Sadly, the ears aren’t part of the hat so if you want to look even cooler, you are going to have to provide your own pointy ears.  If you want this awesome hat, you can get it from Etsy seller orgXIIIorg for just $25!  Seems like a pretty good deal to me considering that is what I usually pay for my baseball caps.

I might be strange, but I don’t think there is anything hotter than a girl in pointy ears which is why I absolutely love when women dress up as Legend of Zelda characters.  In this particular case, this rather attractive girl looks like she is getting ready to kick some butt in this awesome Link cosplay.  I think that shield is one of the better Hylian shields I have seen, too bad it is in the wrong hand.  One of my biggest pet peeves with Legend of Zelda cosplay is that most of the people that are sporting the Link costume are right handed while Link is actually left handed so the sword and shield end up swapped.  Maybe I am pickier than I should be but I think if you are going to try that hard, go all of the way with it!

I always love seeing some awesome Legend of Zelda cosplay and as awesome as this Link cosplay is, there are a couple of things here that bug me.  First, I don’t recall Link ever being sponsored by Nike so the swoosh on the left leg is very out of place.  The other big thing that annoys me about most Link cosplay is that Link is left handed so the sword should be in this guy’s left hand, not his right.  Just a pet peeve of mine.  Minor inaccuracies aside, the Hylian shield looks really nice.  Good effort on the cosplay!

2D Link Cosplay [pic]

I love all forms of cosplay but having grown up on 8-bit video games, there is a special place in my heart for some great 8-bit, 2D cosplay.  This is perhaps one of the best examples of that as somebody decided to use what appears to be a bunch of cardboard to make some awesome 8-bit, 2D Legend of Zelda Link cosplay.  I’d definitely say this is right up there with the 8-bit Samus cosplay I posted over on my other blog, Global Geek News.  If you have seen any great 8-bit cosplay you think I should post, let me know in the comments below!

Being a Legend of Zelda fan, I love some great Link cosplay and I think this qualifies!  I’m not sure why, but it seems like women always do a better job at Link cosplay than guys do.  Perhaps they are just better costume makers, who knows!  Congrats to Alice (the girl in the picture) from the Arms, Armor and Awesome cosplay blog for this great piece of cosplay!  The Hylian shield looks awesome!

Like many, I have a love for the Legend of Zelda which makes this Link t-shirt and hoodie perhaps some of the coolest gaming clothing I have ever seen.  If you want to show those around you just how much you love Link, what better way to do it than with the Hylian shield pictured on your back?  You can order this awesome t-shirt or hoodie design from Much Needed Merch.  The T-shirt will run you $19.99 while the hoodie will set you back $38.99.  May the Triforce be with you!

I love some awesome Legend of Zelda cosplay and this definitely fits in that description!  Although they aren’t in the trademark green that Link always wears, these two rather attractive girls have done a great job with their Link cosplay.  Personally, I find the pointy ears to be rather cute.  I can’t say they went quite as far as the AMAZING Zelda cosplay I posted over on Global Geek News last week, but they still did a great job!  Now if only these girls were wearing the Legend of Zelda bathing suit…  More pictures at the via link below!
