Archives For Star Trek

I have been a big Star Trek fan most of my life and I think I would have to say my favorite alien race on the show has to be the Klingons.  While I don’t share their taste in food (I prefer my food to not be moving when I eat it) I have been known to curse in Klingon on occasion and have the dream of having a Klingon wedding one day.

With as much as I like the Klingons, you would think I would be reaching for my credit card at the sight of this awesome Klingon ring below.  However, not being a fan of jewelry, I think I am going to pass.  However, if you like wearing rings and love Klingons, I suggest you get one!

Etsy seller Sterling925Silver is selling this awesome Star Trek Klingon Imperial Coat of Arms Bat’leth ring for $86.  This Klingon ring is handmade from sterling silver and you can get it in sizes 4-16.

No Klingon warrior should be without this ring!

Are you one of those people that likes to dangle your passions from your ears?  Is one of those passions Star Trek?  If so, then I think I have found the perfect set of earrings for you!  If you want the world to know that you are a big Star Trek fan, what better way to do it than with earrings that look like combadges hanging from your ears?

Obvious geek and Etsy seller HokeyDonut is selling this awesome pair of Star Trek combadge dangle earrings for just $12!  If you are a fan of the Starfleet combadge from the Star Trek: The Next Generation and early Deep Space Nine days, you will love these earrings!

I don’t have my ears pierced (I’m not a fan of ear piercings on guys, especially myself), but if I did have them pierced, I would love the idea of hanging what looks like a Starfleet combadge from my ears!

Anybody who has been following my writing on here or my other blog, Global Geek News, knows that I think there is nothing hotter than a girl with pointy ears.  I don’t care if they are part of some Vulcan cosplay or some Legend of Zelda cosplay, I just think that women with pointy ears are hot (I know it is a strange thing to like but I can’t help it).

Well, for the Star Trek loving women out there looking to get the attention of pointy ear lovers like myself without the desire to mess with the prosthetics will love this Spock hoodie that includes Spock’s ears!

Hot Topic is selling this awesome Star Trek Spock women’s hoodie for $54.50 to $56.50 (depending on the size).  This is the only logical hoodie for any woman to wear when she is cold!

Although Deep Space Nine is by far my favorite Star Trek series, I know there are many Star Trek fans that disagree with me and say that TNG is the best.  Well, for those fans of The Next Generation, I have found the perfect admiral’s uniform jacket for you!

Amazon seller filmwelt-shop-de is selling this awesome Star Trek: The Next Generation admiral’s uniform jacket for $199.  However, if you want this, I should note that it only comes in a size large and there is only one available, so I wouldn’t wait long if you are interested in staying warm while looking like a Starfleet admiral!

I’ve always enjoyed the various costumes seen on the different Star Trek shows, but after seeing these latex Star Trek costumes, I really wish they had been what was worn by the various Starfleet officers.  What I wouldn’t give to see Judzia Dax sporting one of these awesome latex Starfleet uniforms!

These amazing latex Star Trek costumes were created by Poison Candy Latex who will be selling them sometime soon!  This latex Star Trek greatness is set to debut at the Montreal Comic-Con in September but this is a sneak peak of what you can expect.  There are no details about pricing yet, but if you plan on sporting the sexy side of Star Trek, I recommend you start saving your pennies now!

For the Star Trek TOS fans who find themselves needing to dress up will love these awesome cufflinks that look like the Enterprise NCC-1701.

The awesome people over at Entertainment Earth are selling these awesome Star Trek TOS Enterprise cufflinks for $59.99.  Personally, I am more of a Deep Space Nine guy so I would prefer some Defiant cufflinks or something (if I was to ever dress up which I don’t) but if you love the original series, than these are the Star Trek cufflinks for you!

When it comes to Star Trek, it seems that when I ask most people, Star Trek: The Next Generation is most people’s favorite (I prefer Deep Space Nine myself).  One of the main reasons that people seem to like TNG is largely because of Captain Picard.  In fact, people still love the character so much that it lives on in memes across the internet!  It is rare that I don’t see at least one Captain Picard meme on the the front page of reddit every day.

Well, for those that love Captain Picard and all of the Captain Picard memes based on his expressions from Star Trek: The Next Generation, now you can wear all of those expressions!  WeLoveFine is selling this awesome Captain Picard meme faces shirt which they call EmotiPicard for $25.  Sounds like a must have for any Star Trek fan to me!

One of my favorite reasons for attending sci-fi conventions (I will be at the StarFest convention in Denver this weekend so if you see me, make sure to say hello!) is to see all of the amazing cosplay that people are sporting to show their love for their favorite sci-fi franchise.  While seeing people dressed as Stormtroopers or Starfleet officers is pretty common, I have never seen somebody dressed up as a Borg Cube before.  Cliff Nordman took this picture of this awesome guy sporting some giant Borg Cube cosplay.  This might be awesome but it also has to be one of the least practical costumes I have ever seen as even things as simple as going to the bathroom would be a big ordeal.
