Terrifying Batman Arkham Knight Scarecrow Cosplay

In the past, I have posted some pretty scary cosplay like the Diablo cosplay from a couple of years ago and the Silent Hill Nurse cosplay last year, but as scary as those were, I don’t think they can quite compare to this nightmare inducing Batman Arkham Knight Scarecrow cosplay.

While I am not sure who the actual cosplayer is under this mask, the mask itself was created by Matt Sprunger at Stage 1 Studios in Winter Park, FL with help from LuAndra Whitehurst and Robert Tuscani.  The photography was done by the obviously talented Rich Johnson.

If you happen to know who the cosplayer is under the mask, please let us know in the comments below so we can give them the credit they deserve.

Stunning Hand-Painted Legend of Zelda Sneakers

One of the bad parts of working in a junkyard is that my shoes don’t tend to stay nice for very long.  So while I may not skimp on my shoes when it comes to comfort, I don’t bother going for really cool looking shoes because they will end up dirty and greasy after a day or two.  However, I still greatly admire really well done hand-painted shoes.  Speaking of amazing hand-painted shoes, I think perhaps my favorite shoe artist is probably Bobs Made.  In the past, I have posted a couple pairs of their shoes including some Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker shoes and some electrifying Pikachu shoes.  Today, I found some beautiful Legend of Zelda Link shoes from them I thought you guys would love.

These amazing hand-painted Legend of Zelda Link shoes from Bobs Made were made for the boyfriend of a girl named Kristina.  They were made with a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars (apparently the canvas on these shoes is perfect for painting because they seem to be the preferred shoe by shoes artists), LUCAS acrylic paints, and Faber Castell waterproof pens.

These are truly some stunning shoes and perhaps the best looking Zelda shoes I have seen!

Terrifyingly Well Done Female Kratos Cosplay

Its not very often that I come across cosplay that is so intimidating that I have a real fear of it giving me nightmares but I stumbled across just that sort of cosplay today and I knew I had to share it because it is just that good and just that scary!

Since God of War is my favorite franchise of games, I have posted quite a bit of Kratos cosplay in the past including the recent post of a female Kratos with flaming red hair, a guy that pulls off a pretty good Kratos and some rather beautiful gender bending Kratos cosplay.  Well, this is the first time I have come across some Kratos cosplay that I can honestly say is not only amazing but scares the crap out of me!

This amazing and nightmare inducing female Kratos cosplay was done by Miss Sinister Cosplay.  Congrats to her for scaring the crap out of me!  Speaking of people who deserve props for these amazing cosplay photos, I want to recognize the people who helped make this so amazing including Hex Mortis who made the Blades of Chaos (the best I have ever seen in any Kratos cosplay) and ram, Samhain Contact Lenses who made the nightmare inducing contact lenses, Leather Bound who made the outfit, Kurt Allen and Sean McCarthy who did the body paint, and Foto Mike who took this stunning photography!  Amazing job guys!

Ganon, Kratos make for great Rule 63 Cosplay

For as much as I enjoy going to various cons to check out the cool panels and meet the celebrities whose work I enjoy, my favorite part is easily the cosplay.  It is always a thrill to be walking through the convention halls and pass people dressed as Super Mario, the Doctor, Darth Vader, even a few TARDIS’.  Well, speaking of some amazing cosplay which I wish I had seen in person, I found some cool pictures of some amazing Rule 63 Kratos and Ganon cosplay.

These pictures take by Mike Kowalek feature some of if not the best female Ganon (from the Legend of Zelda franchise) and Kratos (from the God of War games) cosplay I have ever seen.  The beautiful woman cosplaying as Ganon is Ely Renae and the equally beautiful woman cosplaying as Kratos is Emma Lu.  Apparently these lovely ladies were spotted recently at Otakon in Baltimore.

I don’t know how much time and effort was put into these costumes but it was absolutely worth it as they are both stunning!

Cel Shaded Jeans Will Drive Any Borderlands Players Crazy!

I will admit that I never got around to finishing the first Borderlands game much less the second one.  I enjoyed the time I spent with the game, I just never went back to it for some reason although after seeing these jeans, I might have to go back and play it this weekend.

I’ve always been a fan of women in some nice fitting jeans but one cosplayer has taken that idea to the next level and painted some cel shaded jeans for some Borderlands cosplay she is working on.

Cosplayer Kirameku has been working on some Borderlands inspired Nisha the Lawbringer cosplay and she has uploaded some pictures of her progress showing the jeans she has been working on.  Using a mixture of Textilcolor and water, she has done an absolutely stunning job of recreating the cel shading style of graphics from the Borderlands games.  I don’t know how much time she has spent getting it to look that good with that level of detail and shadowing and such but it was time well spent because it looks amazing!

If these is just the pants, I can’t wait to see what the rest of this Nisha the Lawbringer cosplay looks like!

Super Mario 8-Bit BBQ Father’s Day Tee Is Only $5!

With Father’s Day just a couple of weeks away (June 15th for those who don’t know), have you figured out what you are getting your father or the dad in your life for the special day?  To be honest, it hadn’t even crossed my mind yet as I am one of those people that doesn’t get whatever gift I am getting until the last minute (also known as the last day possible for Amazon to get it to me on time).  However, for those of you who aren’t horrible procrastinators like I am and know the dad they are getting a gift for is a gamer, then I think I have found the t-shirt for you and it is dirt cheap!

The awesome folks over at ThinkGeek are selling this really cool Super Mario 8-Bit BBQ Father’s Day t-shirt for only $5!  The shirt features Mario doing a little grilling with the words ‘Father’s Day 2014 ThinkGeek” under it.

I’m not even a father and I want this shirt, especially for only $5!  I’m not sure how I look in that much red but it is still a really cool shirt.

Great Pokemon Misty Cosplay

It has been a long time since I have watched the Pokemon cartoon, but I used to love coming home from school as a kid and watching it in the afternoons.  I already loved playing the games before I got into the cartoon but the cartoon was pretty good as well.  However, over time I just stopped watching it for the same reason I stopped playing the games (until the latest X/Y release) and that was because I didn’t care for all of the new Pokemon.  I guess I just have a bit of an connection with the original set of Pokemon and adding more beyond that never really set right with me.  Well, speaking of the original Pokemon and characters, I stumbled across some awesome Misty cosplay that I thought you guys would like!

Ryuu Lavitz Cosplay is the fantastic cosplayer sporting this adorable Misty cosplay that even features her beloved Pokemon Staryu.  The photographer for these awesome pictures was Jim Brady.

Both the Misty cosplay and the Staryu look great in my opinion.  She actually looks a lot like a girl I know except her skin is a little lighter, her legs aren’t as long and I’m pretty sure that hair is a wig.  Otherwise, they would look identical.

Awesome Legend of Zelda Inspired Charm Hair Bow

Being a guy, I’m not one to wear anything in my hair (it would be pointless anyway as my hair is too short and I wear a hat all the time) but if there are any cool ladies out there that want to sport some Legend of Zelda love in their hair, I think I have found the perfect hair bow for you!

Etsy seller KillerBunnyCouture is selling these awesome Legend of Zelda inspired char hair bows that she makes for just $21.50.  That seems like a very reasonable price for a green bow with a Triforce on it and some rupees and a Master Sword charm hanging from it.  However, if those charms (made from polymer clay) don’t tickle your fancy, then she does take custom orders so if you would rather have a Hylian Shield for example, you can!  However, the price may very on custom orders so keep that in mind and make sure to discuss that with her before ordering.

Times like this, I kind of regret being a guy because I would love to wear something like that.  Even if I did have long hair, I could never pull something like that off simply because I am a guy and that sucks.  Consider yourself lucky ladies!

Assassin’s Creed II Female Ezio Cosplay

The Assassin’s Creed games are far from perfect but they are still a lot of fun to play.  However, as much as I enjoy playing them, I enjoy the cosplay that they inspire even more!  In the past, I have posted all kinds of great Assassin’s Creed related cosplay including some great Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag female Edward Kenway Cosplay, some fantastic Assassin’s Creed III Connor Kenway cosplay and some amazing Assassin’s Creed III Lady Maverick and Independent cosplay.  Well, I have found some more great female Ezio Auditore da Firenze cosplay that I am sure you guys will love!

This awesome female Ezio cosplay comes from the great girlfriend/boyfriend cosplayer/photographer team known as Artisan’s Theory.  I’d say they did a pretty good job as the cosplay looks good and the photography looks great!

Maybe its just me, but I think people should dress like this all the time.  I know if I could, I definitely would!  I need to find a costume like that since I have no skills to make one just so I can wear it all the time and be the coolest looking guy in town.

This Sweet Pikachu T-Shirt is $11 Today Only!

Before I get into the meat of this post, I just wanted to take a moment and apologize to all of the awesome Fanboy Fashion readers for having gone MIA for over a month.  I’ve been dealing with some personal things and haven’t really felt like myself enough to post anything so rather than write sub-standard posts, I figured I just needed to take a break for a while.  However, I am finally feeling like myself again and I am ready for things to get back to normal around here so lets get to it!

I have been a big Pokemon fan since I was a kid growing up on the Red/Blue games as well as the card game and cartoon.  However, until Pokemon X/Y came out a week ago, I hadn’t played any of the Pokemon games in years (not for lack of wanting to but the battery in my old Game Boy cartridges died so it wouldn’t save my stuff anymore and I have just been too lazy to crack them open and replace the battery) but I still love them and I really enjoying the Pokemon X, even if I don’t care much for the newer Pokemon.  My how things have changed since I last played in the Gold/Silver days!  Anyway, for my fellow Pokemon fans, I have found the perfect shirt(s) for you!

The awesome folks over at TeeFury are selling this really cool Pikachu t-shirt designed by Whitebison for just $11 today only!  If that isn’t cool enough (this is honestly the coolest Pokemon shirt design I have ever seen), if you order one as well as one of the companion shirts which features either Charmander, Squirtle or Bulbasaur from their gallery, you will also get a cool gym badge!  I should note those t-shirts are $18 but the designs are equally as cool as Pikachu so I think they are still worth it.  Of course any true Pokemon fan will have to collect all 4 shirts!
