With as hot and sweaty as it gets here in Colorado during the summer, I have secretly thought that wearing a kilt during the summer would be a good idea because it would be a lot more comfortable than wearing jeans all the time. Of course with where I work, its not exactly practical or safe to wear one and I’m sure I would get a lot of crap for it but if it was something I could wear at my job, I would love to wear one and I would totally wear this TARDIS kilt!
The folks over at Kilt This are selling these custom TARDIS utility kilts starting at $450. This TARDIS utilikilt comes with 2 large pockets, 3 additional containers, an apron sporran, and D-rings. Of course if thats not good enough for you, there are some upgrades for a higher price that you can get like fleece lining and inner pockets among other things.
If you happen to order one of these amazing TARDIS kilts, make sure to wink when you tell people that its bigger on the inside. 😉 Oh, and share pictures with us of you sporting this fantastic kilt!
It has been way too long since I have posted something here on Fanboy Fashion! Hopefully now that the holidays are over and things are calming down a bit, I can start posting regularly again. With a little luck, this amazing TARDIS cosplay will be the the beginning of things getting back to normal.
In the past, I have shared some rather unique TARDIS cosplay and I would probably put the incredible TARDIS cosplay below in that same category.
Quinn of Hearts is the talented cosplayer behind this amazing TARDIS cosplay that has a Victorian flare and provides a great view of the inside of the TARDIS! The also great photography was taken by Claire Sheldon Photography.
A lot of people seem to think that clothing with things like snow on it is only for wearing around Christmas time and certainly not outside of winter. Well, I can’t say I have ever cared about popular opinion when it comes to fashion so I will wear my snow Dalek shirt all year around as well as my Doctor Who t-shirt that is supposed to look like one of those ugly Christmas sweaters. Rarely do people say anything to me about it but it happens sometimes. However, if you want to wear something that reminds you of Doctor Who and the annual Christmas special, yet not get comments from people around town, I have found the perfect boxer shorts for you!
The awesome people over at SuperHeroStuff are selling these cool Doctor Who boxer shorts for just $17.99! Nothing says I like Doctor Who like boxer shorts with sonic screwdrivers, Daleks and the TARDIS!
The sizes are for men but I know a lot of women who wear men’s boxer shorts so don’t feel left out ladies! Don’t forget, Christmas is coming up so something like these would make a great gift for that Doctor Who fan in your life!
As much as I like these, I am a briefs guy myself so I think I will have to pass on these but my Whovian side is still trying to convince me to buy a pair.
While I have never had a run in with any myself, I have always heard a lot of stories about the Hell’s Angels motorcycle gang that make them seem like quite the scary bunch of dudes. And while I am sure I definitely don’t want them coming after me, I would be much more afraid of the Weeping Angels coming after me! At least with the Hell’s Angels, I wouldn’t have to worry about trying not to blink.
Speaking of the Weeping Angels and notorious biker gangs, the two have now been combined to make this awesome Weeping Angels biker club style t-shirt!
The amazing folks over at BustedTees are selling this Weeping Angels Biker Club t-shirt for only $20 (and normally if you sign up for their newsletter assuming you haven’t already, you can get a nice discount)! If you are a Doctor Who fan with attitude, this is definitely the shirt for you!
Join the brotherhood of the Weeping Angels and get this shirt now! Just remember the club motto, don’t blink!
While I will admit that I was a bit skeptical about Peter Capaldi as the Doctor when I first heard the news, I am really loving him! I am also loving the cool new spinning clock and gears title sequence or opening credits or whatever you want to call them. Speaking of that beautiful fan inspired title sequence, now another fan has taken it and used to to paint some really amazing high hell shoes which can be yours!
It looks like these shoes take 2-4 weeks to make and depending on where you live, shipping may take a while so if you want to get these for somebody as a Christmas present or just want them for yourself to enjoy the Doctor Who Christmas special, I would get these ordered now since it is already October!
Tomorrow is the big day! Doctor Who returns with Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor and I couldn’t be more excited! I am really curious to see how he does as the new Doctor and I am looking forward to seeing if he is as dark as everybody seems to be hyping him up to be. Speaking of the 12th Doctor, despite having dozens of Doctor Who t-shirts, I can’t say I have any featuring him but thanks to the shirt below, I can have one with not only him, but all of the Doctors! Well, not counting the War Doctor that is.
The incredible folks over at ThinkGeek are selling this exclusive Doctor Who You Don’t Know Me t-shirt for just $19.99! This amazing shirt features the 12th Doctor and the phrase “You don’t know me” but when the lights are turned out, it glows in the dark and all of the other Doctors appear with the rest of the message which says “but you will”.
I have a few similar glow in the dark shirts ranging from a clever Star Trek style clocking device shirt to a Cylon shirt which glows in the dark and if you are like me, when you get a sweet shirt like this Doctor Who shirt, you will spend hours in the bathroom flipping the lights on and off just to enjoy the glow in the dark features. So just some advice, make sure you clear your calendar for the evening you get this because you will be playing with the lights.
Considering the fact that I have dozens of Doctor Who t-shirts (right now I am wearing one with Super Mario trying to steal the plunger thing off of a Dalek), it is a little odd that I don’t have any featuring the War Doctor. I suppose that could be because until now, I don’t think I have seen any shirts with the War Doctor on it. Well, if you are like me and happen to be in desperate need of a t-shirt featuring Grandad, I have stumbled upon the perfect shirt for you!
The folks over at Hot Topic are selling this War Doctor Timey Wimey? t-shirt for just $16.40 which is 20% off of the normal $20.50 thanks to a site wide 20% off sale going on right now. So unless you like paying more for what you buy, I’d pick this shirt up now before the sale ends!
Its unfortunate that we didn’t get to see more of John Hurt’s Doctor because I rather liked him in the 50th anniversary special. I think he did a great job with it. However, if I had my choice of which Doctor would get more episodes, I’d really like to see more of Paul McGann because I think I could really like him. That leads me to the question, which Doctor do you wish we got to see more of? Let me know in the comments below!
Some of my favorite people are those who love something so much that they aren’t afraid to show it in what they wear. That kind of goes without saying on a blog called Fanboy Fashion but sometimes it can be helpful to point out the obvious. Of course it would be kind of silly if I wasn’t one of these people myself! I am one of those people about many things ranging from retro video game consoles to Battlestar Galactica. Well, without a doubt, the franchise I demonstrate my love for the most with the things I wear is Doctor Who. Considering I am wearing one of my dozens (yes, dozens!) of Doctor Who shirts while I am writing this should give you an idea for just how much I love it.
Are you a big Doctor Who enthusiast like I am? If so, you should definitely be sporting one of these Whovian t-shirts!
The fantastic folks over at TShirtBordello are selling this cool Whovian t-shirt for just $14.99 (more for bigger sizes)! It features all kinds of iconic Doctor Who related aliens and items ranging from the TARDIS and Sonic Screwdriver (because what Whovian shirt would be complete without them) to K-9 and the Pandorica! This shirt is sure to bring back a ton of fond Doctor Who memories for any Whovian that sees it!
Speaking of Whovians that see this shirt, I have this shirt myself and wear it often and whenever I run into a Doctor Who fan in a restaurant or at the gas station or wherever, they are always complimenting me on the fantastic shirt so I can say with confidence that this shirt will bring you a lot of attention from fellow Whovians!
Have you ever wanted to go out on the town looking like the TARDIS? Well, if you are a woman or at least a cross dressing dude, now you can! Who says the only time you can wear something like this is at a convention?! This TARDIS dress is perfect for wearing to almost anything from a date to a wedding. Well, perhaps I wouldn’t advise wearing it to a wedding because unless you are the bride, you will probably attract more attention than the bride with a dress like this and taking the spotlight away from the bride on her wedding day is not the smartest idea. However, if you are going to a Doctor Who themed wedding, I’d still say go for it! Actually, the thought of all of the brides maids wearing TARDIS dresses sounds like a pretty cool idea! Anyway…
The cool geeks over at ThinkGeek are selling this cute TARDIS A-line dress for just $39.99. Also, if you can find a little something else there to buy, you can get 10% off your order of $40 or more this weekend with the coupon code ‘CLIPPY’ (Good thru 4/6/14). This dress is 100% cotton, machine washable and made in the good ol’ USA instead of by kids in China. Don’t forget to check the size chart too if you want to make sure you get the size of dress that best fits you.
I think if you really want to complete the outfit, the best way you can do that with some exploding TARDIS heels. However, I should note that my sense of fashion sucks so perhaps I’m not the person you should be looking to when it comes to what shoes match this dress. Still, I like the idea.
It hasn’t been easy, but lately I have cut back quite a bit on the number of t-shirts I buy because I have already outgrown my closet and have a stack of shirts as tall as my ceiling so the last thing I need is more shirts. However, when I come across cool Doctor Who shirts like the ones below, I just can’t fight that temptation. The Let’s Play shirt isn’t really my style as I am not much of one for the cartoony look but I rather like the selfie shirt that is a play on the famous Oscar selfie.
Currently, the selfie shirt appears to be outselling the other shirt by around 2:1 so it looks like I’m not the only one who prefers it. If you get one or both of these shirts, let us know in the comments below which one you bought. I’m always interested in knowing what my readers like so I know what to post more of in the future.
