Legend Of Zelda “Twilight Princess” Vans Sneakers [pics]

When it comes to shoes, I am a loyal New Balance guy, but as much as I like their shoes, they don’t really have any that are good for customizing like these shoes or any of the others that I have posted on here.  I would be lying if I said I wasn’t just a little jealous of those who wear Vans shoes like these that they are able to make something cool with them.

In this case, Kyozokicks is selling these awesome hand-painted Legend of Zelda ‘Twilight Princess’ Vans sneakers for $195.  That is about $75 more than I care to spend on a pair of shoes but admittedly my shoes are boring by comparison.  These are definitely a must have for Zelda fans (mens sizes only)!

Doctor Who Shoes [pics]

The only kind of shoes I buy are New Balance shoes but it is safe to say I have never been as tempted as I am now to buy something other than New Balance shoes.  In particular, I really want these awesome Doctor Who shoes!  Etsy seller Christina Sneed is selling this fantastic pair of Doctor Who shoes on for just $40!  Just the thought of having a Dalek on my shoes is really exciting!  Currently only sizes 9 and up are available but it sounds like smaller sizes will be available soon for the Whovians out there with small feet (like me).

Futurama Zoidberg Shoes [pic]

Need some cartoony and geeky shoes?  Then perhaps you should do like this person and paint a pair of Vans sneakers to look like Zoidberg from Futurama.  Unfortunately, the right shoe only makes sense when you put it next to the left shoe but together, these shoes are a pair of awesome.  Now, who wants to make me a pair of Bender shoes?

Hand-Painted Street Fighter Chuck Taylor Sneakers [pic]

One of my favorite arcade games growing up was Street Fighter which would explain why I want these shoes so badly even if I think Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers are some of the ugliest shoes ever made.  Maya Pixelskaya painted these awesome shoes that feature Chun-Li and Ryu with an amazing level of detail.  These shoes are definitely geektastic!  Too bad you can’t buy a pair of these Street Fighter sneakers at your local shoe store.

Stormtrooper Helmet Made From Sneakers [pic]

Have you ever wanted to find a new purpose for your tennis shoes?  I can’t say that I have, but it does seem kind of wasteful to just throw them away after you have worn them out.  Well, one designer that goes by the name Freehand Profit decided to take a couple pair of Adidas shoes and turn them into a wearable Stromtrooper helmet.  I’m not sure why he decided to do this other than I figure he must be a huge Star Wars fan.  Anyway, I would say that it paid off because this sneaker stormtrooper helmet sold for $2125 on Ebay!  Not bad when I presume his only costs were for two pairs of shoes and whatever he needed to cut the shoes up and glue them back together to look like a stormtrooper helmet.
