Stunning Hand-Painted Legend of Zelda Sneakers

One of the bad parts of working in a junkyard is that my shoes don’t tend to stay nice for very long.  So while I may not skimp on my shoes when it comes to comfort, I don’t bother going for really cool looking shoes because they will end up dirty and greasy after a day or two.  However, I still greatly admire really well done hand-painted shoes.  Speaking of amazing hand-painted shoes, I think perhaps my favorite shoe artist is probably Bobs Made.  In the past, I have posted a couple pairs of their shoes including some Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker shoes and some electrifying Pikachu shoes.  Today, I found some beautiful Legend of Zelda Link shoes from them I thought you guys would love.

These amazing hand-painted Legend of Zelda Link shoes from Bobs Made were made for the boyfriend of a girl named Kristina.  They were made with a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars (apparently the canvas on these shoes is perfect for painting because they seem to be the preferred shoe by shoes artists), LUCAS acrylic paints, and Faber Castell waterproof pens.

These are truly some stunning shoes and perhaps the best looking Zelda shoes I have seen!

Female Link Cosplay from the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

It seems like every time I find some good female Link or Princess Zelda cosplay to post, I am always asking myself if I post it too often.  I have posted some great female Link cosplay in the past such as this female Link cosplay and this one just to give a couple of examples.  But I wonder if maybe I do it too often?  I kind of feel like I do but then I remember just how much I love women with pointy ears and then I stop caring and post more.  Well, I found some more great female Link cosplay inspired by Ocarina of Time and thanks to the fact that I am a sucker for pointy ears, here is yet another female Link cosplay post!

This lovely lady Link cosplay is done by the cosplayer Lolita Zombie and these cool pictures were taken by Photographers in Philadelphia.  I think the pictures fit nicely with the cosplay even if she doesn’t really feel in the environments (Photoshop can’t make everything look natural).  I especially like the inclusion of Navi in the one picture.

Legend of Zelda Steampunk Link Cosplay

Seeing people do steampunk versions of iconic characters like superheroes or video games characters is always amazing.  I am constantly blown away by the incredible creativity and sense of style when people do a steampunk version of the characters they love.  In the past, I have posted some really cool steampunk style cosplay including a very impressive steampunk Princess Peach cosplay but I think this is perhaps the first time I have ever seen somebody do some steampunk Link cosplay.

This incredible Legend of Zelda inspired steampunk Link cosplay was done by MolecularAgatha.  I think she did a pretty impressive job with this cosplay!  I think my favorite part is the Triforce goggles although the leather work is pretty impressive too.  And of course, if you have been reading Fanboy Fashion or even my other blog, Global Geek News for a while, you know that I can’t do a post like this without mentioning how hot I think a girl in pointy ears is.

The equally impressive photography was taken by Daniela Alfaro Enkantazya.

Attention Zelda Fans! This Cool ‘LNK’ T-Shirt is $11 Today Only!

Like most gamers, especially those around my age, I am a huge fan of the Legend of Zelda games.  I even carry a Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess wallet and occasionally wear one of a couple Legend of Zelda hats that I have.  I have Zelda shirts too but not very many although after today, I am going to have one more!

The super cool geeks over at TeeFury are selling this ‘LNK’ shirt for just $11 today only!  This cool shirt design featuring what vaguely resembles a Game Boy holding a master sword, a shield with the classic Zelda heart icon on it and playing a Zelda style game was created by Drew Wise.

If you are a big Legend of Zelda or Game Boy fan like I am and think this design is pretty cool, I suggest you stop what you are doing and go order the shirt now before it is gone!  Remember, it is available today only (technically you can get it for a few hours tomorrow but at a higher price)!

Adorable Handmade Legend of Zelda Link and Zelda Earrings [pic]

While I will admit that women who have a have so many ear piercings there is more metal on the side of their head than ear tend to scare the crap out of me, I appreciate girls with a single earring that dangles from their lobes.  I think it looks much classier and far more attractive.  To each their own I suppose but that is the way I have always felt.  Anyway, speaking of earrings that dangle from your ears, I have found a pair of really cute Legend of Zelda ones that Link and Zelda fans are sure to love!

Etsy seller Pixelosis is selling this set of handmade Legend of Zelda Link and Zelda earrings for just $25.  When you order, you will have your choice of two Link earrings, two Zelda earrings or one of each like in the pictures below.  For those curious how these are made, they are made by weaving one tiny Japanese Miyuki Delica Seed Bead together at a time with a needle and thermally bonded Wildfire bead weaving thread.  Not having any experience with bead stuff, that doesn’t really mean anything to me but it sounds fancy.

If you decide to order a pair, send us a picture of you wearing them!

Legend of Zelda Fingernail Art [pic]

It has been a little while since I have posted any cool fingernail art so when I saw this, I figured you guys would enjoy it, especially if you love the Legend of Zelda games.  Nothing says “I enjoy saving the princess quite like some Legend of Zelda Hylian Crest fingernail art.  Even as a guy, I still kind of want to sport this Zelda fingernail art myself!

Masha over at Lost in Lacquer has posted a cool DIY guide showing how she made this awesome Legend of Zelda fingernail art and how you can make your own! It seems like a pretty straightforward process so I wouldn’t think it would be too hard to replicate, especially if you have experience doing stuff like this before.

If you do decide to give this a shot on your own fingernails, let us know in the comments below how they turned out!

Zelda is the Girl T-Shirt [pic]

Its pretty easy to spot somebody unfamiliar with the Legend of Zelda games when they describe the character that is clearly Link but calling him Zelda. I don’t know about other Legend of Zelda fans out there, but I am starting to get tired of pointing out to people that Zelda is the girl, so I think I may just start wearing this shirt everywhere I go.

The awesome folks over at Bustedtees are selling this great Zelda is the Girl t-shirt for $20.  However, if you are looking to save a little money, you can instantly get a 30% off coupon by tweeting, facebooking or e-mailing your friends about it and they will even get 30% off too!  Its hard to beat that kind of a deal and when you share, everybody wins!

I wish more online retailers offered something like that because I could really use 30% off on a TV I am planning to buy on Amazon.

Star Wars and Legend of Zelda Mash-up T-Shirt [pic]

For those who have wondered what it would be like to have a mash-up between the Legend of Zelda and the Star Wars movies, now we have a pretty good idea thanks to this t-shirt!  The result would be a comedy!

Redbubble is selling this fantastic Star Wars and Legend of Zelda T-shirt mash-up called ForcePalm for $25.56.  One thing to note, unlike most shirts sold on RedBubble, you don’t get your choice of shirt with this one.  However, the default color works pretty well so its not that big of a deal.

Just remember, when you are receiving your Jedi training, there is a big difference between the Triforce and THE Force.  Don’t make the same mistake that Link made or you may find yourself on a t-shirt!

Link Cosplayer Playing the Nintendo DSi [pic]

Have you ever wondered what Link (from the Legend of Zelda franchise) is doing when he is not out saving Princess Zelda?  Well, apparently Link’s free time is spent playing on the Nintendo DSi!

This impressive female Link cosplayer goes by the name Suzuki while the photographer goes by the name of Eyes.  I would have to see the rest of the costume and get a better look at the sword to be sure, but I think this is perhaps the best female Link cosplay I have seen!  However, it seems kind of odd (yet completely awesome) to take this picture with Super Mario Bros wallpaper in the background.  I don’t know where you get wallpaper like that, but I want it for my bedroom!

Hand-Painted Legend of Zelda Shoes [pic]

I’ve never been one to wear VANS shoes (I am a New Balance guy), but if I ever decided to give them a shot, I would probably have to spring for these amazing, hand-painted Legend of Zelda shoes!  Not only do these shoes look comfortable, the Legend of Zelda paint job they have been given is pretty cool too!  Etsy seller EpicCrafts4You is the person behind these awesome shoes and she is selling these custom Legend of Zelda VANS for $100.  Apparently it takes 3-7 days to make and ship them which is pretty good compared to many I have seen.  I want a pair!
