Awesome Steampunk Tinkerbell Cosplay

Ever since I was a kid, I have had a big love for Peter Pan and that fantasy universe.  I remember watching the Disney cartoon over and over again as a kid and these days I will watch the classic Hook movie with Robin Williams whenever I see it on TV.  It seems like love for Neverland has fallen off in recent years because I remember seeing lots of Peter Pan and Hook costumes when I was a kid (I remember even having one of the hook hand toys when I was a kid) and you never see them these days.

Well, it looks like there is at least one other fan still out there judging by this awesome steampunk Tinkerbell cosplay.

Sadly, I don’t know who this awesome Tinkerbell cosplayer is, who took this picture or what con this was at but I think this cosplay is great!  If you know who this girl is or who took the picture, please let us know in the comments below so we can give them the credit they deserve!

I hope Hook is still on Netflix because now I am in the mood to watch it for the millionth time.

This Hybrid Dalek/TARDIS Dress is Fantastic!

If you ever looked at galleries of pictures taken from events like Comic Con or pretty much any nerdy conventions these days, you are bound to see some girls dressed up as either a TARDIS or Dalek.  The last sci-fi convention I went to I can distinctly remember seeing at least two little girls dressed as a TARDIS.  Well, while it is pretty common these days to see girls sporting some cool TARDIS or Dalek dresses, this is the first time I have ever seen both combined into one fantastic dress!

Cosplayer BewitchedRaven from Atlanta Georgia is the girl sporting this awesome TARDIS/Dalek hybrid dress.  I’d say she did an excellent job in creating it because it looks great!  At first, I thought the idea of a hybrid dress like that might look a little strange but with the colors and patterns she chose, I think it looks really good!  It almost has a bit of a Victorian/steampunk feel to it.  Speaking of good things, the great photography was taken by CONography.

This Steampunk Cyberman Cosplay Is Fantastic!

When you think about it, the Cybermen are already kind of halfway to being steampunk, they just lack the coloring, gears, gauges and other typical steampunk things.  Well, one cosplayer decided to take his Cyberman cosplay the rest of the way toward steampunk and he came up with this absolutely amazing looking steampunk Cyberman cosplay.

Unfortunately, I don’t know who this handsome gentleman is that is sporting this incredible steampunk Cyberman cosplay (if you know, please let us know in the comments below so we can give him credit for his amazing costume), but he was spotted recently at DragonCon in Atlanta by Jen of Epbot who took this picture.

I’ve seen a lot of steampunk style cosplay in the past but I think this is my favorite.  If my memory is correct, it is definitely the most detailed.  I wish I had the costume making skills this guy does because I would love to sport something similar at my local sci-fi conventions.  I am really curious to know just how long it took him to make something that looks this good?

Legend of Zelda Steampunk Link Cosplay

Seeing people do steampunk versions of iconic characters like superheroes or video games characters is always amazing.  I am constantly blown away by the incredible creativity and sense of style when people do a steampunk version of the characters they love.  In the past, I have posted some really cool steampunk style cosplay including a very impressive steampunk Princess Peach cosplay but I think this is perhaps the first time I have ever seen somebody do some steampunk Link cosplay.

This incredible Legend of Zelda inspired steampunk Link cosplay was done by MolecularAgatha.  I think she did a pretty impressive job with this cosplay!  I think my favorite part is the Triforce goggles although the leather work is pretty impressive too.  And of course, if you have been reading Fanboy Fashion or even my other blog, Global Geek News for a while, you know that I can’t do a post like this without mentioning how hot I think a girl in pointy ears is.

The equally impressive photography was taken by Daniela Alfaro Enkantazya.

Victorian Style Darth Vader Cosplay [pics]

Perhaps it is just me but it seems like Darth Vader is some of the most overdone cosplay out there these days.  I understand why everybody wants to dress up like Darth Vader and I have even done it myself but it feels like it has become so common that it isn’t special anymore.  However, there are rare exceptions like the one below where a great deal of originality went into the Darth Vader cosplay.

A cosplayer going by the name May B. created this really cool Victorian style Darth Vader cosplay.  Apparently the style was inspired by Victorian mourning gowns.  I think the combination of Darth Vader and a Victorian mourning gown actually goes together quite well although my favorite part is definitely the mask.

However, I am not sure if this could be considered a steampunk Darth Vader.  I know the steampunk style is a Victorian style but I’m not sure if this qualifies so if anybody knows or has an opinion, please leave it in the comments below!

These Amazing Steampunk Heels Even Light Up with LEDs [pics]

It was only a couple of years ago that I was introduced to the awesome style of steampunk and now I get excited when I see anything in the style of steampunk.  Even though I’m not a big heels person (I am guy after all and they just look really uncomfortable to wear), I have to admit that these steampunk heels that light up with LEDs might just be some of the coolest heels I have ever seen!

These awesome steampunk heels were created by former Etsy seller HotAirBalloonRide (apparently they have since closed up their Etsy store).  Not only do they have an awesome steampunk look to them, they feature blue and red LED lights.

Normally I am not a huge fan of LEDs in shoes (I was rather happy when that fashion trend among kids in the 90s died), but these are pretty cool and I feel like they really add something to the heels.

Let me know what you think of these steampunk heels in the comments below!

Steampunk Poison Ivy Cosplay [pic]

Is there some new obsession with Poison Ivy that nobody has told me about?  Over the past month or so, I have been seeing all kinds of great Poison Ivy cosplay.  However, this is the first steampunk Poison Ivy that I think I have come across and it is pretty cool!  I love the combination of steampunk and anything else so its safe to say this gets two thumbs up from me!

This awesome steampunk Poison Ivy cosplay is being sported by Rikkux12.  The sexy yet tasteful pictures were taken by Robbins Studios.  Between the cosplay and the photography, this is full of awesomeness.  The world needs more Batman universe inspired steampunk cosplay!

Steampunk Princess Peach Cosplay [pics]

Anything in the style of steampunk is awesome, but to combine it with Princess Peach from the Super Mario Bros games, the result is spectacular!

The steampunk Princess Peach cosplay in the pictures below was spotted recently at Pax Prime.  If you ever needed a reason to go to events like Pax, this would be it!

This beautiful cosplayer is Skirtz and she did an absolutely stunning job on this incredibly detailed steampunk Princess Peach cosplay.  It is probably some of the best cosplay I have ever seen, especially in the steampunk style!

The fantastic photography was done by photographer Kindra Nikole.  For more pictures, hit up the source link below!

Steampunk Boba Fett and Steampunk Doctor Doom Cosplay [pic]

Well, this is definitely an unlikely pair!  I never knew it, but apparently Boba Fett and Doctor Doom are good friends and like to do some rapping in their spare time!  It also looks like they enjoy getting their steampunk on too!

I’m not sure who these cosplayers are in these amazing steampunk costumes, but they are definitely some of, if not the best steampunk cosplay I have ever seen!  I can’t quite put my finger on it, but there is just something awesome about a steampunk Boba Fett.  However, the badge or tag or whatever that is under Boba’s hand is kind of distracting.

Steampunk Flash Cosplay [pic]

Having never really given comic books a chance, I can’t say I know much about the Flash besides his iconic image and amazing speed but if there are two things I am quite familiar with, they are cosplay and steampunk.  Well, apparently one guy knows about steampunk, cosplay and the Flash judging by this awesome picture.  Unfortunately, I don’t know who this guy is (so if you know, please let us know in the comments so I can give them credit), but I have to admit that they did a fantastic job with this steampunk Flash cosplay.
