Batman and Harley Quinn Themed Custom Engagement Ring

It never ceases to amaze me just how romantic some geeks can be and the lengths they will go to when they propose to that special someone in their life.  I’ve seen elaborate proposals and some pretty cool rings and this definitely qualifies as a pretty sweet engagement ring!  In the past, I have featured a cool Portal Companion Cube engagement ring and an absolutely stunning Legend of Zelda engagement ring but when it comes to simple, classy and elegant, this Batman and Harley Quinn ring is perhaps my favorite.

This awesome Batman and Harley Quinn ring was designed by Daniel Maffett for his fiancée and made by Tom Sayers of Sayers Jewelers.  The design is very well done in my opinion and I love the end result!

Here is what Daniel had to say about the ring and his proposal.

“My goal going into this design was to create a ring that was traditionally elegant and sleek but represented my fiancé and I. Comic books are a big part of us and her favorite is obviously Batman and her favorite character is Harley Quinn,” says Daniel. Delivering the ring was the couple’s dog who proudly carried it in a sack of coal to Daniel’s fiancé.

Congrats to Daniel and his bride to be!

This Batman Sleeve Tattoo is Amazing!

Although I don’t see myself ever getting a tattoo, I am now a huge fan of well done tattoos even though I found them repulsive for most of my life.  Speaking of well done tattoos, I think I have found a rather incredible Batman tattoo you guys are going to love.

At the end of last year, I posted an incredible tattoo of Batman punching the Joker on one guys side.  Well, I have come across another incredible and extremely detailed Batman tattoo but this one is in the form of a sleeve tattoo rather than on somebody’s side.

I’m not sure who this lucky fellow is that got this amazing work of Batman comic book art tattooed on his arm but this was inked by Ian at Ian Ink Tattoo.  I’d say Ian is one heck of a talented tattoo artist!

The coloring and detail is amazing!  I can’t even imagine how long it took to make this sleeve but it was definitely worth it.

Amazing Batman Punching Joker Tattoo [pic]

I don’t know if it is the quality of the tattoo artists where I live or the poor ability of people to pick/design a decent tattoo (maybe both), but the tattoos that I see people sporting around where I live really suck.  Well, most aren’t terrible but in comparison to tattoos like this Batman inspired tattoo below, they make you wonder why they even bothered to get one in the first place.

This amazing tattoo of Batman punching Joker was inked by Josh at City of Ink in Christchurch, New Zealand. The detail on this Batman tattoo is very impressive!  I would say Josh hit a home run when he inked this tattoo!  The guy who also had it inked on his side is clearly a pretty cool dude too!

However, I am curious if the tattoo is black and white or just the photo?

Impressive Mary Jane Cosplay [pic]

When it comes to cosplay, you almost never see comparison pictures of the cosplay next to the original.  Well, you do in this case and it makes this Mary Jane cosplay ever cooler!

Stacy of Gotham is the awesome cosplayer striking the pose in this impressive Mary Jane cosplay picture.

Since this is a rare occasion where the cosplay picture is compared to the original, how about we play a little game?  Lets see who can list the most number of differences between the pictures in the comments below!  I will get you started with two differences that are pretty obvious, the lack of the table in the cosplay picture and the position of her left foot is different compared to the original.  Now your turn!

Little Kid Captain America and Thor Cosplay [pic]

Even if you don’t like kids, its hard to say that little kid cosplay like this isn’t cute.  There is just something awesome about a pair of little kids dressed up as Captain America and Thor.  The costumes are quite impressive for what you would expect to see on a couple of little kids.  However, something tells me that Captain America’s fingers don’t fill up the gloves very well.

This is definitely parenting done right.  It almost makes me think that having kids one day wouldn’t be so bad.  Almost.

Kid Robin Takes Down Bane While Batman Texts [pic]

Even superheroes like Batman can get engrossed in the things on their phone on occasion so that others are forced to look out for them.  In this case, a little kid dressed as Batman’s sidekick Robin takes down Bane while Batman stands in the background, presumably texting somebody or perhaps playing Angry Birds.  It must be nice to have a sidekick to do all of the hard work sometimes.  The kid’s Robin cosplay is pretty cute!
